Florida Supreme Court Certified
Family Law Mediator

Mediation is a dispute resolution process where the parties work with a neutral party called a “mediator”. The mediator works with the parties to attempt resolve all or some of the outstanding issues between them.

Rules of Mediation. Mediation is a confidential process, absent abuse or other extenuating circumstances, the parties and the discussions at mediation are private and cannot be disclosed to any third party or in court. If an agreement is reached, it will be memorialized into a writing
and filed with the Court which will then be made public.

Fees. Mediations are $275.00 per hour. All bookings are required to be a (3) three hour minimum for a half day or $825.00. In our years of professional experience mediations in family law matters rarely settle in less time and usually require more than (3) three hours. It is recommended that (4) four hours be booked for divorce matters with no children and (6) six hours minimum for family matters with children.
All parties are required to be prepared to pay their
half of the mediation hourly rate.
WE DO NOT ACCEPT PERSONAL CHECKS.
We do accept credit cards and cash.

Discounted rates. Should the parties’ verifiable combined monthly income be less than $100,000.00 annually and more than $50,000.00 annually our hourly rate is reduced to $265.00 per hour. If the parties’ combined annual income is $50,000.00 annually or less our
hourly rate is reduced to $250.00 per hour.
Verifiable income is based on at least (3) months of paystubs and (2) two years of tax returns.

Mediation location. We mediate without a travel charge or fee in Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties or anywhere in the state of Florida by Zoom. We have office and conference room space near downtown West Palm Beach at 2465 Mercer Avenue, Suite 202A, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. We can also travel to other agreed upon locations for mediation such as attorney’s offices or other conference room spaces. Travel fees outside of Palm Beach, Martin, and St. Lucie counties may be charged depending on the time and location of the mediation.

Documents required to mediate. Both parties are required to FULLY complete financial affidavits and bring them to mediation. In addition, parties shall be required to bring at least (2) two years of tax returns. This list is not exclusive but a minimum list. It is highly recommended that parties bring all supporting documents related to their assets and liabilities or issues unique to their circumstances. Time is wasted at mediation if parties are not prepared with their documents.
