Florida Family Law Appeals

Ms. Cosentino has handled family law appeals and post trial matters for years in her practice. Sometimes trial judges don't make decisions in accordance with Florida law. When this happens, there are certain steps that MUST be taken to preserve your rights. 

Time is of the essence! Once a Final Judgment is entered a Motion for Rehearing should be filed within (15) fifteen days. This gives the trial judge an opportunity to correct any mistakes made. Once a trial judge denies a motion for rehearing a notice of appeal must be filed as well.
